Leathers are a natural product and will show slight natural markings on both the inside and outside. This is a normal feature of natural grain leather and is far preferable to using grain-corrected (machine-embossed) leathers. Raw edges if chosen, will likely show clip marks, discoloured areas or colourless areas; these are a normal result of the tanning process. The quality, beauty and functionality of your book remain first class. I always use leather from a British tannery with an excellent reputation.
Please note that most of my books contain hand-torn paper; the resulting 'deckle' edges on the pages provide an authentically handmade look and feel to my books. If this is not to your taste, please get in touch before purchasing.
Colours may vary slightly from the colour shown on your device due to screen variations. Colours may vary slightly between dye lots so two books in the same colour may differ slightly. This is a normal aspect of using natural products. If colour matching is crucial to you, please get in touch.
Purchasing finalises your order and no further changes can be made to the details of your bespoke book. Purchasing can be made online from a product listing using any of the usual payment methods, or from a pro forma invoice by BACs, cheque or over the phone with a card.
Please allow up to 4 weeks plus delivery time for me to make bespoke work. Most orders are sent using Royal Mail Special Delivery (UK), Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed (International) or Parcelforce (International Express). These are tracked and insured services which require a signature on delivery, something you may want to bear in mind when specifying your delivery address. Please also supply a contact telephone number.
I regret that bespoke, made to order books cannot be returned, refunded or exchanged unless in the unlikely event that they arrive damaged or not made to the specifications in your invoice or product listing, in which case please contact me so I can resolve any issues.
