I'm happy to announce a follow-on book making evening class for anyone that's studied with me before at Artisan, starting 15 September 2016.
Further your skills, enrich your knowledge and boost your creativity as you learn to make even more books in this 6 week follow-on course with bookbinder Susan Green, at Artisan Community Art Studio in Moordown.
You’ll discover more folded book forms that you can use for artist’s books, travelogues and photo albums, you’ll learn a more intricate Japanese binding style that’s ideal for a portfolio or sketchbook, and finally you’ll make a traditional ‘cased-in’ book, great for use as a diary or journal.
Step-by-step worksheets and all materials are included - but as ever, if you have some favourite papers you’d like to use, please bring them along.
This course is suitable for anyone who has taken my introductory 6 week book making course, or mine & Laura’s 1-day book making workshop. Each book is made over 2 weeks so it’s best to attend each session if possible.
Starts Thursday 15 September 6:30 - 9 pm and for a further 5 consecutive Thursdays at Artisan Community Art Studio, 1005 Wimborne Road, Moordown, Bournemouth, Dorset BH9 2BS
