A new book is always a cause for celebration, but I was particularly happy to get my hands on the latest publication from BCF Books, British Artists' Book Makers.
A follow up to In Praise of Beautiful Books, it's another edition of amazing work by British artists using the book form in a myriad of innovative ways. And the reason I'm especially happy to see it is that I'm on page 43 - it's the first time my work has been published in a book and it's very exciting!
Some of my favourite book artists are also there, including Julie Johnstone of Essence Press. I love visiting Julie's stand at BABE, The Bristol Artist's Book Event (and adding to my growing collection of her artist's books); her minimalist work perfectly distill thoughts, feelings and experiences in precise book forms made with tactile paper and featuring letterpress printing.
There's also a page on fellow Dorset artist Sharon James of L'Artishe Gallery, whose work often features birds and insects:
Order your copy now for £10 from BCF Books and thanks to editor Caroline Mornement for including my work in this brilliant book.

What do those professional bookbinding terms mean? Can I use any kind of glue? Where do I find waxed linen thread? Do I need special paper? Is that awl as good as the one I already have? I hear you. I was you.
