This exquisitely tactile A5 Leather Journal is hand bound in the finest quality goatskin with exposed spine stitching and a choice of a leather thong or convenient magnetic fob to keep the book closed. It contains 200 pages of 118gsm 'Superfine Smooth' unlined paper with traditional hand-torn deckle edges. This superior quality paper is a delight to write on with fountain pen, ballpoint, biro or pencil.
This softcover leather notebook is flexible yet hardwearing thanks to its binding style and archival materials. It's a joy to use thanks to the organic leather which is warm and smooth to the touch, slightly glossy in appearance with a beautiful hand-polished natural grain.
The journal's pages are collected into eight signatures, each stitched through the leather cover in the 15th century Longstitch with Linkstitch binding, a style that ensures the pages lie flat on a desk for ease of use. A colophon on the final page gives details of the maker, materials and binding style for that bound by hand authenticity.
