Leather Bound Notebook Features & Benefits

  • Premium quality paper. 115gm Mohawk Superfine paper is white and unlined (blank) for unrestricted use. It's perfectly suited to writing with a fountain pen, calligraphy pen, ballpoint, biro or pencil. This quality paper is acid-free and archival, FSC certified and manufactured by windpower with zero greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Lay-flat pages. This leather journal is so pleasurabl eto use thanks to the lay-flat binding, which lets you write across pages and right into the spine. No fighting with a tight, glued hardback book, and no need to hold down pages when you write.
  • Archival binding. This handmade journal will last a lifetime. The pages are collected into 8 'signatures', which are sewn directly through the leather cover in one continous sewing. Because no glue is used, this journal can never fall apart, its pages will never come loose, unlike commercially available leather notebooks.
  • Flexible yet durable. Although this is a flexible softcover style, this leather journal is nevertheless very hardwearing, thanks to the practical wrap around design that protects its pages, the archival binding style and durable leather covers.
  • Handmade authenticity. In use since the 15th century, the special binding style is a time-honoured mark of true craftsmanship. The pages are folded and torn by hand for a traditional look and feel, and the final page features a discrete printed 'Colophon', with binding, maker and materials details.

"It is absolutely beautiful, just what I wanted and a lovely colour. I cannot thank you enough." - Liston, the Netherlands

    Exquisite

Susan is an absolute delight and went above and beyond in accommodating my requests for this journal. It is rare to find someone who is happy to print text on the inside pages of the book. The quality of her work is exquisite and the journal was beautifully packaged too. I would highly recommend BoundbyHand.
