This A5 Leather Sketchbook is hand bound in Mustard Yellow finest calfskin leather covers with exposed spine stitching in Rust linen thread. With a distinctive 'V' shape cover and exposed spine stitching, its design echoes that of the very earliest book forms. Inside are 192 pages of quality 140gsm 'all-media' recycled cartridge paper with traditional hand-torn deckle edges.
This softcover leather sketchbook is very hardwearing thanks to its archival materials and binding style. It's such a delight to use because the leather is so good to handle: warm and lightly textured. Not to mention that the book is so flexible that the pages lie open on a table for easy use!
You can use all pens (except markers like Sharpies), pencils, other dry mediums, ink and light wet media in this sketchbook. It's pages are 140gsm acid-free cartridge paper, which is made from recycled coffee cups. The pages are also suitable for writing in fountain pen, ballpoint or biro so this makes a lovely journal or notebook, too.
The pages are collected into eight signatures, each individually stitched through the leather cover in the simple yet beautiful Longstitch style. A printed colophon on the last page details the materials and binding style for that authentic artisan experience.
