This Leather Sketchbook for watercolours is bound by hand in luxuriously tactile Navy Blue leather with Tan exposed spine stitching in the Longstitch style. It's a wonderfully pleasurable art journal for artists who appreciate natural materials and fine craftsmanship.
Inside this softcover book are 48 pages of reassuringly substantial 300gsm / 140lb fine grain, cold pressed watercolour paper. The pages lay conveniently open, so the book is easy to work in. A leather fob with silver coloured metal stud keeps the book securely closed when not in use, making it ideal for travel.
As well as painting in wet media such as watercolours, acrylic or gouache, the thick, acid-free paper is also ideal for brush or pen calligraphy, drawing in pencil, charcoal, graphite or pastels. There is enough spine space in the binding to allow for a one or two inclusions, such as swatches.
The A6 small size is perfect for tucking into a bag to take on your next adventure. The A5 medium size offers more space to work in, but is still lightweight.
