This A5 Artist's Sketchbook or Art Journal is carefully handmade in vegan, eco-friendly materials using traditional bookbinding techniques. It's bound by hand in Pink Rose Gold cork textile with exposed spine stitching in soft Grey linen thread. With flecks of gold colour and a gentle colour palette, it's a beautiful addition to any vegan creative's collection of sustainable stationery.

Cork is a naturally renewable resource protected by law, and the quality recycled cartridge paper is made from disposable coffee cups. What's more, the binding thread is pure linen, which is one of the most sustainable fibres on earth.
Cork textile is warm and smooth to the touch, making this a lovely book to handle and use. It's also hypoallergenic and water-resistant, so it's practical, too. It's a naturally vegan alternative to leather, and an earth-friendly answer to synthetic 'faux' leathers that are plastic based. So all in all, this is an excellent sketchbook if you prefer eco-friendly art supplies.

Cork is a textile so I treat its edges with a plant-based substance to prevent fraying, so you can get a lot of use and pleasure from this sketchbook over the years. This is not something you usually see in handmade cork books, as it takes quite some time to apply. I also round the corners of the outer cover closing flap, for longevity.
To enhance the beauty and quality of this vegan art journal, I use a special Japanese tool to punch the cover's sewing stations, meaning each hole is precisely cut and shaped, rather than pierced and torn. This means that - unlike other handmade cork vegan sketchbooks - your book is as beautiful and heardwearing as possible, and made with the finest craftsmanship.
