I'm very pleased to let you know that the leather books I designed and made as props for Roman Villa Ventorum at The Newt in Somerset are now available to purchase.
Last year I was commissioned by The Newt in Somerset to help bring a reproduction Roman villa to life. I bound a dozen prop books in the style of the early codex, which was used alongside scrolls and wax tablets in late Roman Britain.
