This small Cotton Rag Sketchbook with Natural or Brown velvet ribbon has 210gsm handmade pages that are ideal for wet or dry media, embroidery and mixed media.

A practical art journal for studio, exhibition or travel

Bound in the French Linkstitch style in French linen thread, the pages of this cotton rag art journal lie flat on a surface, so it's a pleasure to work in. The book will also turn 360 degrees so you can display its pages standing up on a shelf in your studio, or for exhibition. Even if you add the optional cover, the sketchbook will stay open! The velvet ribbon is incorporated into the binding and allows you to keep the book safely closed for travel or archiving.

Features & Benefits

  • Wet media. The 210gsm cotton rag paper is acid-free and gelatine sized, so it has a nice weight and takes wet media really well.
  • Dry media. Its natural tooth and texture provides a good grip for dry media like charcoal and pencil, too. Because they're handmade, the pages have traditional deckle edges which make for a sublimely natural appearance that invites engagement and innovative creativity. 
  • Ecofriendly & ethical. The paper is fairtrade and handmade from textile industry offcuts, so it's sustainable, ethical and good for our planet.
