The 210gsm cotton rag paper is acid-free and gelatine sized, so it has a nice weight and takes wet media really well. It's fairtrade and handmade from textile industry offcuts, so it's sustainable, ethical and good for our planet. Because they're handmade, the pages have traditional deckle edges which make for a delightfully ruffled appearance that invites engagement and innovative creativity. When not in use, the luxurious velvet ribbon keeps your book securely closed (and the ribbon is held safe by the spine stitching).
